Proposal Management Consultant

Business Development consulting firm is seeking professional Mid-level and Senior Proposal Managers to develop winning responses for Federal government proposals. While this position is 100% remote, there are high expectations for any candidate who fills this role. You must have reliable systems (Video conferencing capabilities, Internet) and be available to workcore hours during the week. The position may require working nights/weekends. Some face-to-face meetings will be required.

This is a 1099 position. Multiple positions are available.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum six (6) years of experience managing proposals and serving as lead writer for volumes, sections, etc. as needed.
  • Create proposal schedule, compliance matrices and compliant, annotated outlines; strong understanding of how to interpret Federal RFPs.
  • Must demonstrate ability to lead large proposal teams and/or more than one effort at a time. Strong project management and communication skills are essential
  • Support pre-proposal activities and prepare proposal materials for Kick Off meetings, solutioning sessions, and gate reviews.
  • Facilitate meetings as and proposal review cycles required.
  • Extensive experience reviewing and shredding RFPs and multiple solicitation documents is required.
  • Create realistic proposal schedules and identify resources needed to complete work to meet all deadlines.
  • Ability to act as liaison with clients and advise on what compliance and responsiveness is required.
  • Demonstrated ability to serve as a Lead Writer, excellent writing, communication, and interviewing skills
  • Solid understanding of message development. Uses creativity and strategy to create compelling content.
  • Strong time management, organization, and communication skills
  • Must be professional with a customer-service oriented focus and strong presentation skills
  • Excellent writing skills are required
  • Understanding of Shipley’s Method is required.

Business Development Analyst

Our company is seeking a highly motivated BusinessDevelopment Analyst to support companies that provide services to federal,state, and local governments to join our growing team. You will play a criticalrole in securing government contracts by providing market research and analysisand providing pipeline development support for companies across industries.The Proposal Lab is seeking a very sharp Proposal Writer to develop compliant responses for Federal government RFPs. While this position is 100% remote, there are high expectations for any candidate who fills this role. You must have reliable systems, Internet, and be available to work core hours during the week. The position may require working nights/weekends. Some face-to-face meetings will be required.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct in-depth research to identify government RFPs (Request for Proposals) aligned with our company's expertise and capabilities using agency forecast lists and contracting databases (e.g., Sam.gov, GovWin)
  • Conduct competitive analysis to identify competitor strengths and weaknesses in proposals.
  • Conduct market research for specific industries to develop industry reports demonstrating government buying trends to inform strategy development.
  • Maintain knowledge of government contracting databases (e.g., SAM.gov) and build opportunity pipelines that are organized based on data.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, or a related field (preferred). Minimum 2 years of experience in business development or government contracting (preferred).
  • Strong understanding of the government procurement process and RFP development.
  • Excellent research, analytical, and writing skills.
  • Experience with FPDS, Sam.gov, and GovWin is a plus.
  • Ability to manage multiple deadlines and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong organization, communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

Proposal Writing Consultant (Remote -1099 Position)

The Proposal Lab is seeking a very sharp Proposal Writer to develop compliant responses for Federal government RFPs. This is an on-call, 1099 position.

Qualifications:

  • Must be an excellent writer. Writing samples will be requested
  • Minimum four (4) years of experience writing persuasive content for Federal and state government proposals
  • Excellent at facilitating meetings and proposal teams
  • Experience developing compliance matrices and compliant outlines
  • Excellent communication skills & solid understanding of message development
  • Experience interviewing SMEs for content
  • Excellent time management skills to meet tight deadlines
  • Uses creativity and strategy to create compelling content
  • Requires minimal supervision
  • Must be professional with a customer-service focus
  • Proposal management experience a PLUS
